Terms of Use & Sale
Last updated 5 October 2026
monolitbeatz.com ("the site") is operated by Boris Miscenco, trading as Monolit Beatz ("we", "us"), based in the United Kingdom. These terms cover using the site and buying products through it, including Sledge Distortion.
1. Using the site
The site is a portfolio and storefront for Monolit Beatz music production services and software products. Don't use it to do anything unlawful, to attack or abuse the site or its infrastructure, or to submit false information through the contact form.
2. Who actually sells you the product
Checkout for Sledge Distortion and any other paid product is run by Lemon Squeezy, who act as Merchant of Record. That means Lemon Squeezy, not Monolit Beatz, is the seller on your receipt: they take payment, handle VAT/sales tax, and are the counterparty for your purchase contract. Their own Terms of Use govern the sale itself. We never see or store your card details.
3. Pricing
Sledge Distortion is sold with a minimum price and a suggested price, both shown on the product page at the time of purchase. We can change pricing for future purchases at any time; it doesn't affect a purchase you've already made.
4. The software itself
Sledge Distortion is free and open-source software licensed under the GNU GPL v3. The GPL already gives you the right to use, study, modify, and share the software, including commercially — buying it is optional and funds development; it isn't a separate license grant. Source code is on GitHub.
5. Refunds
See our Refund Policy — refunds are handled by Lemon Squeezy as the seller of record.
6. No warranty
The software and site are provided "as is". As stated in the GPL, there is no warranty for the software to the extent permitted by law. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using the site or the software.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site or products change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
